At Cornerstone Church our approach to local outreach is all about proximity. Meaning, we focus on praying for, giving to, and serving those within our personal spheres of influence. We realize this is different than what churches traditionally try to do through large, one-time events, but our goal isn't merely to attract a crowd, instead we are focused on meeting real needs with real solutions. We believe that this is best accomplished through smaller, more personal interactions with people that we can build a relationship with. So, rather than focusing our outreach efforts on any single event, we have created a Season of Outreach that will occur during the month of December. It is during this Season that we will impact our community in several small, but powerful ways that we are hoping will lead people to Jesus.
There are two ways to share prayer requests, needs, and opportunities to serve. The first is online through the forms below. The second is through the forms located near the outreach bulletin boards in the church lobby. The bulletin boards in the church lobby are the platform where needs meet solutions. We are encouraging everyone in the congregation to find at least one way to pray, give, or serve during the Season of Outreach. Whenever a person prays, gives to a need, or fulfills an opportunity to serve they are to put a bulb on the Christmas tree in the sanctuary. Our goal is to fill the entire tree with bulbs, which are a visible representation of all the many ways Cornerstone Church is impacting their community.
It's important to know that during the Season of Outreach if you know of a need and want to simply take care of personally, because it doesn't require anyone else's contribution, then you do not need to complete a form or ticket, just simply meet the need and hang a bulb on the tree. The same is true for prayer requests and opportunities to serve.
